Photos, title, condition grade, what's included, and your asking price. Takes around 7 minutes.

We review it

Every listing is checked before it goes live. We confirm it's trade-appropriate and the details are accurate.

Buyer purchases

You get notified when your item sells. We send you the buyer's address and a Royal Mail shipping label.

Ship and get paid

Drop it at your nearest Post Office. Payment is sent to your PayPal once delivery is confirmed.

You need a minimum of 1 photo. We recommend 3. Buyers in the trade know exactly what they are looking at — show them everything.

Front view

Clean, straight-on shot of the item. Natural light if possible. No filters.

Place on a plain surface — white, grey, or black works best.

Side or detail view

Show the blade, cord, charging port, or any detail that matters for the buyer's decision.

Barbers want to see the blade condition. Don't skip this shot.

Any wear or damage

If there are marks, scratches, or cosmetic damage — photograph them. Buyers respect transparency. It avoids disputes.

Condition grading

Be accurate.
Buyers trust the grade.

Every listing on ChairTrade carries a condition grade. Use the descriptions below to grade your item honestly. Mis-graded listings will be corrected before going live.

Grade A
Excellent — minimal use The item is in near-new condition. It works perfectly, looks clean, and shows little to no signs of use.
Examples: Clipper used fewer than 20 times. Scissors with no blade marks. Trimmer still in original box.
Grade B
Good — normal working wear The item shows signs of regular professional use but is fully functional. Some cosmetic marks or light scratches are expected.
Examples: Clipper used regularly in a salon, blade still sharp. Scissors with minor surface marks.
Grade C
Fair — visible wear, still functional The item has visible cosmetic damage or heavier wear but works as intended. Priced accordingly.
Examples: Clipper with paint chips but working motor. Scissors needing a sharpen. Trimmer with missing guard.
Pricing and fees

ChairTrade charges sellers nothing. Your asking price is what you receive. A 12% platform fee is added for the buyer at checkout — this covers payment processing, platform costs, and buyer protection.
